Salary: NJC Grade A: £23,656 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 12 hours per week, 41 weeks per year. 

Orchard Vale Community School is looking to recruit a cleaner to start as soon as all recruitment checks are complete. The successful candidate must have cleaning experience, and we are seeking someone who is hardworking and reliable.

This is a part time permanent position working 12 hours per week Monday to Friday, between 3.36pm to 6pm. It is a 41-week contract, which includes a 1-week clean in the Easter holidays and a 2-week clean in the summer holidays.

You should be:

  • Enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable.
  • Be committed to maintaining high standards of cleaning in your area and throughout the school.
  • Be flexible within the cleaning team to assist other cleaners when needed. Training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be working in a team of other cleaners and will be line managed by the Head Cleaner and Head Teacher. They will have the responsibility for maintaining a high level of cleanliness in our buildings through daily duties. These duties will include vacuuming, sweeping, and washing floors, dusting, and polishing, cleaning lavatories, and removing rubbish.
